The Covid-19 pandemic has affected everyone in different ways but we are learning to live with it, and it has actually helped us to make some things better!! Dr. Mantor wants you all to know that she is, and always will be, here for you to help you in your weight loss endeavors!

She truly cares about helping all of her patients obtain and maintain a healthy weight, and she stays up-to-date and current on the research surrounding weight gain and weight loss efforts.
Dr. Mantor is now offering an incredible comprehensive data based weight loss program as an incredible option, not only due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but also because it is so very convenient for our patients and successful due to the accountability that is so crucial to successful weight loss. This program also has, as expected, incredible science behind it!!
She strongly recommends working on weight loss together from a multi-modality approach. We have developed an app program for iPhone and android that syncs with a smart scale and fitness/sleep tracker. It is science that explains why weight is difficult to lose and keep off, not a simple motivational issue, and this approach is the best way to manage it. Studies show that apps are very helpful in losing weight and keeping it off, but ONLY if monitored by a healthcare professional. Dr. Mantor and her team will monitor all of your data online and you can weigh in at home with the smart scale that syncs directly to the app. She will do occasional virtual Telehealth visits with you as well to save your frequent visits to the office. These range from every week to biweekly to even monthly or quarterly depending on individual patient needs. Each visit, and during the actual monitoring online, we determine whether prescription weight loss medications are needed or other interventions.
Specific meal replacement and diet and exercise recommendations are made. Educational and motivational materials are included in the app program as well as exercise videos from Dr. Mantor's own certified personal trainer.
With the program, you will be placed on a low calorie program and meal replacements will be included as well. Some patients are placed on full meal replacement programs and others are placed on food from the grocery store and many on a combination of both. It is very individualized. You will be educated about the role of carbohydrates and insulin in slowing your metabolism and how we can increase your metabolism. Any necessary lab work and EKG will be ordered if needed. We will consider prescription medication as a possible aid in weight loss and/or maintenance depending on your needs. We will work as a team to make sure your metabolism is at its absolute peak, and we will teach you everything that scientifically proves that you NEED help and give you every tool we possibly have to get you, and more importantly, keep you at a healthier weight!
To start up, the cost is $500.... This will include the app, smart scale, and fitness/sleep tracker along with 16 boxes of meal replacement supplements (shakes, bars, soups, fiber, etc) which we would discuss and incorporate into your daily routine. We would also discuss whether you are a candidate for Saxenda or other weight loss prescriptions and start that if indicated as well. We will discuss fitness options, water tracking and everything to make you successful. You can pick up all the products, scale, fitness tracker, and prescription if applicable by curbside pickup or we offer shipping as well, at your cost (but warn that the shipping cost is not cheap, at around $50).
If Dr. Mantor has not seen you in a very long time, or if you have many questions, you may want to come in for the start up appointment, and an office visit will be included in this $500 start up cost. If you would prefer to do it by televideo visit, that will be included instead for the first start up visit. We do, however, ask that you pay the initial $500 startup fee online upon scheduling simply to limit contact in the current social distancing times. We are limiting patients in the lobby for everyone's safety. So, if you are thinking....I just want to do it the old way....where I came in every week and weighed in and visited....sorry, but Covid has unfortunately changed that for us. We are really trying to limit the lobby from filling up and keep everyone safe! However, we are finding that most are LOVING this new way due to convenience and we are still in extremely close communication!!
Then... we do televisits occasionally, depending on the individual and program and progress, preferably about once a month, for $75. Boxes of the supplements/meal replacements are $10 each to use as needed/recommended. We are, however, in continual contact by way of the app, at least once weekly. Remember, the goal is for you to be successful!! Long term lifestyle changes are truly made this way and patients are becoming more and more healthy!!
